It's hard to believe that we are already on the downhill stretch for 2003. Once again, this year the community has shown a renewed faith in Chalmette Medical Center. More and more people are making CMC their hospital of choice. And those who haven't utilized CMC in the last five years or more are returning to find a marked difference in the quality of service and healthcare.

Over the past several years, we've taken your suggestions and comments and done more than just file them away. We've taken them to heart and worked to improve our hospital through service expansion, quality initiatives, technological upgrades and staffing improvements. As a result, we see the fruits of our labor every day as more and more St. Bernard residents entrust their healthcare to CMC. Of course, we know that there are still improvements that need to be addressed. But, believe me when I tell you there is not a day that goes by that we are not thinking about or working on ways to raise the bar when it comes to your healthcare.

And, although more and more patients report their satisfaction with our efforts, it's not enough. We want patients and their families to be very satisfied when they leave our hospital. It may be a lofty goal, but it is one that we believe we can achieve with your help. So, the next time one of our nurses, technologists or therapists asks if you were satisfied with our services ... let them know. And, if you were very satisfied, let them know that their hard work is being recognized.
