Alzheimer's Disease
This supportive setting provides caregivers of those with Alzheimer's disease an opportunity to share their feelings and concerns with others experiencing similar situations.

American Heart Association CPR/BLS

Stroke Survivors
This program provides hope, guidance, information and encouragement to stroke survivors and their families. 4th Wednesday of each month, 4 to 5 PM, Virtue Street Medical Pavilion Cafeteria. 620-7388 for information

Diabetes Classes
Recognized by the American Diabetes Association, this educational program conducted by the CMC Diabetes Center includes meal planning, medication, blood sugar monitoring and exercise. Classes are conducted by a registered nurse, a clinical dietitian and a pharmacist. A physician's order is needed for registration. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month, 6 to 8:30 PM, CMC Conference Room, 9001 Patricia St. 620-7414 for information

Diabetes Chat Group
This group, conducted by the CMC Diabetes Center, provides information and support for diabetics, their families and anyone interested in diabetes. A guest speaker attends each meeting. CMC Conference Room, 9001 Patricia St. Call for schedule. 620-7414 for information

Fibromyalgia Support Group
This group meets bimonthly, the second Wednesday of the month, and provides supportive environment for individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder for which the cause is still unknown. Call 271-9577 for information and location.

Heart Care Group
These bimonthly classes cover a range topics related to heart disease and hearthealth.

Saturday, Oct. 18, "Women's Health Day." A half-day program (8 AM to noon) devoted to women's health issues and health screenings. Free screenings, giveaways and door prizes. Wednesday, Dec. 3, "Seasonal Depression," 7 PM. It's not as uncommon as you may think. The holidays are not as joyous as they could be for some people. This program will deal with the causes of seasonal depression and methods of coping with the stress and anxiety that can be associated with this time of the year. Call 1-800-890-7844 to register.
